AP Seminar students had a blast at Tulane's Amistad Research Center! They viewed primary materials from the Civil Rights movement, like a handwritten letter from Fannie Lou Hamer and early 20th century editions of Louisiana Weekly. They also met a Saints player!

Louisiana Children's Museum in City Park has a volunteer opportunity for high school age students (9th - 12th grade). LCM is looking for camp volunteers for a Spring Break Camp March 28-29 and April 1-2.
Requirements:
9th - 12th grade
Attend an interview (last interview is March 17)
Attend a tryout day (last tryout day is March 23)

The senior headed in a goal off a long free kick from midfield for the lone goal in a state semifinal win against Bossier. The goal was his fifth of the playoffs.

Our robotics team competed this past Saturday in Hammond and we went undefeated, winning all 10 matches we played. We are now ranked number 1 in our region (355th in the world) and we hold the regional high score of 208 points. Our next competition will be the State Championship on March 2nd in Denham Springs

The Girls Basketball Team will be playing at home today, Monday, Feb. 5, vs Booker T. Washington at 5:30pm . Join us for Senior Night! We would love your support. Also, our final regular season home game is Thursday, Feb. 8, vs De LaSalle at 5:30pm! Come out and support our girls as we attempt to finish the season with our first winning record and potentially host our first girls home playoff game in more than 5 years!
Congratulations to our High School Principal for the Day, Eva Loshbaugh! She began her day by welcoming the students to campus. During assembly, she helped run the games, followed by a lunch with her leadership team and a visit with CEO, Nicolette London.
Boys Basketball will be playing at home today in their Final Home game of the year. The JV Boys game starts at 5pm, and Varsity vs Riverdale at 6:15 pm. Come join us for Senior Night!
It's playoff season for the Girls and Boys Soccer teams! The Girls earned the #8 seed in the playoffs, and the Boys earned the #1 seed. Both will be playing a home game TODAY!!! Girls kickoff at 4:00pm vs. #25 Buckeye; Boys kickoff at 6:00pm vs. #32 Kaplan. Come out and watch some soccer! It should be a very pretty night! We will have concessions and grilled hamburgers and hotdogs! We hope to see you out there!
