The Louisiana High School Athletic Association has recognized 59 boys on the recently released 2023-24 LHSAA All-Academic Composite Soccer Team. Willow School seniors Sebastian Salm and Forrest Wilkes have received this honor! To be recognized on the team, a student-athlete must maintain a six-semester unweighted GPA of 4.00. The students cannot have a “B” on their transcript and Honors classes are not considered for the award. Additional All-Academic senior awardees will be recognized on the Class All-Academic Team for carrying a GPA of 3.5 to 3.99. Those students will receive certificates by their school and will be listed on the LHSAA site following the state soccer championships. Well done!

Members of our Willow School bands participated in the annual District Six Honor Band concert at Tulane University. An honor band is a composite ensemble made up of top players from schools in a certain location. The three Honor Bands consist of a challenging audition process for the top 60 players from each region for each respective band. Students who make the District Six Honor Band then have a three-day weekend to prepare the music on Tulane's campus, culminating in a concert on the final day. Congrats to these members of the 6th grade band: Jacob Matthews; Justin Gardere; Henry Sims; August Doussan; Leif Rodning; Liam O'Keefe; Josiah Carter; Louis Ray; Christopher Holcomb; and Nathaniel Larocca-Goldberg. Congrats also to these 7th grade band members: Alanna Meredith; Olin Parker; and Donte Allen. Bravo to High School members: Madoc Schwilke; Porter Noyes; Robert Fritzsche; Kevin Li; Noah Boudreaux; Alexander Dufour; Naomi Hart; and Keagan Doussan.

Louisiana offers a Community Service Diploma Endorsement for students completing 80 service hours by graduation. These service hours are also a graduation requirement for a Willow School diploma. Students perform community service hours according to the following schedule:
Freshman Year-10 hours
Sophomore Year-20 hours
Junior Year-25 hours
Senior Year-25 hours
In general, students arrange for their own community service, however, the counseling office has information regarding approved service opportunities. All service hours must be approved and signed by an adult supervisor through forms available in the counseling office. Students are strongly encouraged to submit documentation of service hours as they complete them. Please stop by the guidance office if you have any questions.
Due to expected inclement/severe weather and out of an abundance of caution, The Willow School (all campuses) will close at 11:30 tomorrow (Monday). Aftercare and all after-school events are cancelled. Varsity girls basketball game TBD.
Come out to the Brees Family Field today at 2pm to see the current Willow soccer team take on the visiting Willow alumni players in this long-standing annual tradition. Go Lions (old and new)!
Willow alumna (Class of 2017) and Harvard University grad Samyra Cambrielle will perform the national anthem at today's home Saints game.
