Charley and Laena, our fourth grade TAT kids, interviewed Ms. Sanders' kindergarten Owls - they are grateful for: family, Taylor Swift, tacos, friends, everything, people, trees, candy, cheese, brothers, 4th grade buddies, the Willow community, pets, toys, mommies, dogs, cats, life, the Owl class, Ms. Kelly and Ms. Sparks, and all of the wonderful students.

Ms. Wendy Rodrigue visited K-4 students to share about the Life and Legacy of artist George Rodrigue. We listened to stories of George's life, admired incredible original works, and left encouraged to "enjoy life" as Mr. George wished for all. We are grateful to have been the 208th school Ms. Wendy has visited through The George Rodrigue Life & Legacy Foundation!

Devin Johnson joined Mr. Hausman and Mr. Barrau for a great last Morning Meeting before Spring Break. Happy Spring!

Gabby and Armani, fourth grade TAT students, checked in with Ms. Oliver's 3rd grade class for Thankful Thursday. They were thankful for: friends, family, the Willow community, pets, sports, U of C, pets, video games, sister, Roblox, Dragonfly and Sloth classes, beautiful spring weather, and the third grade team.

The Golden Lion has been moving around! Ms. deVeer passed it to Ms. Ruf, who gave it to Ms. Santos, who awarded it to Mr. Kentrell, who bestowed it upon Mr. Mert. These staff members were highlighted for being great teammates, helpers, communicators, and friends.

The second grade team and friends serenaded Ms. Robertson with "Goin' to the Chapel" at Friday's morning meeting. We're wishing Ms. Robertson well on this next big adventure!

For Thankful Thursday, TAT students Wynnie and Rylie checked in with Ms. Son's 4th grade homeroom. They were thankful for: food, family, dogs, music, sleep, that's it's almost the weekend, cheese puffs, the 4th grade community, LEAP, K buddies, friends, video games, Roblox, the Willow School, sports, and the 4th grade teachers.

Mr. Barrau and Mr. Young's 4th grade class sang for us on Tuesday morning, performing the Imagine Dragons song "Demons." They reminded us about how important it is to name our feelings and be strong. Thanks, Blue class!

Mr. Barrau and Ms. Agostinho's 3rd grade homeroom sang "Something Just Like This" at Friday's Morning Meeting. What a great way to start our day!

For Thankful Thursday, TAT students An and Catalina visited Mr. Young's 4th grade class. They were thankful for many things, including: Willow, family, books, friends, pets, penguins, cats, food, sports, Fortnite, gardening, video games, Roblox, moms, aunts, and teammates.

Mr. Barrau and Ms. Neikirk's 2nd grade class sang "Never Grow Up" on Thursday at Morning Meeting. Thanks, singers!

Willow Lower School's Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Fundraiser and Spirit Week were a huge success! Students and staff dressed up in neon on Wednesday to bring light to the darkness of cancer and flashy clothes on Thursday to strive to help the most patients during our Flash 24 day. Dr. Lotterman talked to us on Thursday about how the money we raise stays right here in New Orleans, helping those in our community. With your help, we raised more than $19k!!!! That surpasses our $15k goal! Thanks for continuing to raise money and awareness!



Third grade had their Opening Ceremony today for the beginning of LEAP Schoolympics! Each 3rd grade class has teams that compete to do their best on activities (events) that prepare them for the LEAP test. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals are awarded to teams and individuals for their achievements during these events. All students are champions and cheer each other on to do our best!
