We are incredibly proud of Willow senior William Xi, who represented us in Baton Rouge this week as a state finalist in the annual Student of the Year competition. Thanks to Ms. Brenda Fitzpatrick for overseeing our high school students' participation in this annual program.
Louisiana Lions Camp is hiring camp counselors, activity instructors, and life guards.
Louisiana Lions Camp is a summer camp for youth with special needs, type 1 diabetes, pulmonary disorders, and childhood cancer. LLC is currently recruiting High School students, ages 16 and above, to fill summer staff positions. There are Junior Counselor positions available for 16 and 17 year-old students. Students aged 18 and above may apply for Senior Counselor and Activity Instructor positions, and those with current certifications may apply for Lifeguard positions. Loyola University New Orleans Neuro Camp
Over the course of a week, you will cycle through demonstrations and lab activities in the departments of Psychological Sciences (neuroanatomy and brain imaging), Biological Sciences (comparative animal behavior), and Physics (bioelectricity). You will also learn some basic programming skills. This is also the perfect opportunity to learn more about Loyola's interdisciplinary major in neuroscience! The camp fee is $100 for the week, and participants receive a camp t-shirt and one college credit. This program is only open to rising Juniors and Seniors. Applications from underrepresented groups are especially encouraged.

Our next senior CA Visual Art show is now open in the Cave Gallery on the 4th floor, featuring Surreal paintings by J. Parker, intricate drawings of distorted faces by S. Bruno, and a huge light-up jellyfish sculpture by B. Paull. Check it out! The show is open through this Thursday and there will be a reception after school Thursday... WITH SNACKS. All are welcome.

8th and 9th grade ELA classes were treated to a reading and talk by Marti Dumas on Thursday 3/30. Ms. Dumas read from her latest book, Wildseed Witch, and answered lots of student questions. Wildseed Witch will be available for purchase in paperback and hardcover at the HS Book Fair; you can also pre-order the sequel, Charmed Life, which will be delivered on May 2.
Our CA Dance Seniors will be performing their own choreography along with the Juniors, this Saturday on April 1 in the Middle School auditorium at 3pm.
Last Friday, Mamaroneck High School, from Mamaroneck, NY came to the Willow School to play for and collaborate with Mr. Jordan's Certificate of Artistry Jazz Band.
