The Tran family had the winning bid for the Larry Nance, Jr. jersey that was auctioned at the Pelicans game The Willow School attended a few months ago. They arranged to have Mr. Nance sign it and then they donated it to our school. #neworleanspelicans #TheWillowSchool #willowschoolnola #artsandsmarts

Juniors, Class of 2024: The nomination process for the 2024 Posse Scholarship will soon begin. To become familiar with the Posse Scholarship, please visit: https://www.possefoundation.org/sites/new-orleans
The Posse model works for both students and college campuses and is rooted in the belief that a small, diverse group of talented students—a Posse—carefully selected and trained, can serve as a catalyst for individual and community development.
Attend a Posse info session next Tuesday & Wednesday, 2 & 3 May at 1:30PM in Room 207.
Today, Mr. Allegra's Social Entrepreneurship class participated in a big final project, termed 'Lion Den.' It is a business plan pitch contest akin to the tv show 'Shark Tank'. A panel of local business people served as "lion" investors. Six students presented a business proposal along with the business plan they have been writing all semester in class. The panelists selected a winner (Destiny Brown) and a runner up (Aiden Nelson). Great job! Thanks to judges Mariska Morse, Blake Stanfill, Kevin Wilkins and Sal Mannino.
Congratulations to Ian Barnes, Willow School wide receiver, on receiving the All-Star Athlete award from the National Football Foundation. Way to go, Ian!
Our final senior Certificate of Artistry Visual Arts (CAVA) art show is now open in the Cave Gallery (room 407) featuring the intricate, surreal, meticulously painted scenes of Violet Nemeth, the intergalactic-inspired saturated watercolor explosions of Bella Supak, and the modernist, lunar-inspired furniture and cozy room installation of Mila Kwaske. The show is open now through Tuesday. Check it out! There will be a reception (WITH SNACKS) after school on Monday.

Willow Theatre has been credited and thanked in a new play that has just been published. The Willow School produced the World Premiere of the play 100 THINGS I NEVER SAID TO YOU last year and it has now been published! Our school is listed in the playscript because we are forever tied to the play’s history as the first to perform the play. Congrats to the theater program participants for this prestigious honor! Thanks goes to Mr. Bratcher and Mr. McCrea!
