Congratulations to Emaliya "Emzi" F! Her essay was selected as the third-place winner in the 2024 Middle School Writing Contest for the Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience. This year's contest prompt was "Why do you think the United States should create a Rosenwald Schools National Park?" The theme was drawn from the Museum’s current special exhibition, “A Better Life for Their Children: Julius Rosenwald, Booker T. Washington, and the 4,978 Schools that Changed America." Students were asked to write a letter to their congressperson detailing why they supported the campaign to create a Rosenwald Schools National Park. We are so proud of you, Emzi!
