On April 6, 2023, we had a very special assembly to celebrate Black History Month. The middle and high school choirs, band and orchestra performed "Dry Your Tears, Afrika" from Amistad and "Lift Every Voice and Sing." Our middle school dancers performed special choreography. We ended our assembly with a fun game of "musical chairs." The game was set to music from African American musicians from New Orleans. It was a wonderful celebration for our community.
