Kindergarten students are diving into Entomology research as part of their reading curriculum.. Today they learned about Arthropods and the difference between vertebrates (mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians, & fish) and invertebrates (insects, arachnids and myriapods).
After reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar, they created caterpillar art and answered a think sheet with the question, "If I were a very hungry caterpillar, I would eat...".
Students drew pictures of three arthropods and counted their legs. These included insects, arachnids and myriapods.
