The Coolidge Scholarship is a full-ride, four- year, merit scholarship that recipients may use for undergraduate study at any accredited college or university in the United States. Any high school junior who plans to enroll in college in the fall of 2026 and is an American citizen or legal permanent resident is eligible to apply. Winners may use the scholarship to pursue any academic major. The scholarship requires reading assignments and essays. Therefore students are encouraged to begin the application early.

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to students in their final year of high school. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. The Foundation has provided more than 6,900 Coca-Cola Scholars with more than $84 million in educational support. 150 Coca-Cola Scholars are selected each year to receive this $20,000 scholarship

NOLA-PS Back to School Boogaloo for kids ages 6 months to 18 years: Saturday, July 13 , 10 am–1 pm, Joe W. Brown Park Recreation Center, 5601 Read Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70127 The event aims to ensure every child in New Orleans is ready and excited for the new school year. The fair will offer a wide array of health, wellness, and educational resources: Health Services and Resources; Children’s Hospital’s ThriveKids Student Wellness Program: Free enrollment for any school health needs that may arise throughout the year.
Immunizations: Provided by the Greater New Orleans Immunization Network for qualifying families. Sports Physicals and Primary Care & Dental Resources: Accessible on-site.
Free Haircuts and School Supplies while supplies last. There will be fun activities and resources for the whole family: live music, snowballs, games, and free food!

Willow varsity soccer midfielder Sebastian Salm has won the GATORADE LOUISIANA BOYS SOCCER PLAYER OF THE YEAR award! The award celebrates the nation’s top high school athletes for excellence on the field, in the classroom and in the community. Salm led the Lions to a 23-0-4 record and the Class 3A state championship this past season. He scored seven goals and passed for 10 assists, logging four of those setups in the postseason. His influence and control during the state championship match earned him the Most Outstanding Player award. He has lifted The Willow School to three straight Division III state titles and was an All-State Defensive Most Valuable Player honoree in 2024. Salm has volunteered locally with the Culture Air Nola food bank and with the Lafitte Trash-Clean-Up. Congrats, Sebastian!
School may be out for the summer, but Willow School staff members are always seeking opportunities to grow and learn in preparation for the next school year. Many teachers and administrators recently attended the Louisiana Department of Education's Teacher Leader Summit, an annual professional learning conference that brings together Louisiana birth-to-grade-12 educators and content experts.
Team Willow (staff) celebrated the end of the school year at the park. What a great way to wrap up the year! Thank you, Willow faculty, staff and administration, for another fabulous year! Now, time to prep for 2024-25!
Congratulations to Willow High School senior Tyran Zardies Jr., who won this year’s Stay in School Car Giveaway. Zardies, who plans to study finance at LSU, walked away with a 2024 Toyota Corolla LE from Premier Automotive Group/Toyota of New Orleans for being one of 60 NOLA Public School students to have perfect attendance in their senior year of high school. He was randomly selected via a raffle. The Orleans Parish School Board contributed $2,777.96 to help cover taxes and registration fees for the vehicle giveaway.

The Willow Class of 2024 attended the Lower School Morning Meeting today for their Senior Send-Off. After singing "Learning the Willow Way," they received graduation caps made by the kindergarten and fourth grade buddies, and the seniors toured the school and played on the playground. Congratulations, Seniors!
