The Willow High School

Willow senior Marbella Maristany was chosen to participate in the LSUHSC School of Medicine Summer Research Internship Program for 8 weeks over the summer. She participated in weekly training sessions, submitted an abstract, participated in an individual research project, and presented a poster presentation on her research to the LSUHSC faculty. Marbella's poster presentation involved research in the neuroscience department.  Her research was titled "Alpha Synthesis PFF Triggers Stress Responses in Human Astrocytes That Induce Senescence."
