The Willow School's boys' and girls' high school tennis teams participated in the Division II Region IV tennis tournament at Xavier University of Louisiana Tennis Center April 14 and 15. The girls' team won their fifth straight Regional Championship. The boys' team narrowly missed winning their fifth straight championship. They finished the tournament in second place behind Salmen High School.  My-Anh Holmes won her fourth straight Regional Championship in the girls' singles bracket, defeating My-Linh Holmes in the all-Willow tournament final. Usha Ramdall, Cecilia Pizzolatto, Kate Bilbro and Abby Hunter all reached the girls' doubles bracket semifinal round. Marigny Gill and Natalie Hennessey reached the tournament quarterfinal round. Willow's entire girls' team entry qualified for the State Tennis Tournament.  Finn McGuire was a tournament semifinalist in the boys' singles bracket. Conor Moore and Issac Palmer reached the semifinal round of the boys' doubles bracket before being eliminated. Booker Henry and Charles Christiansen reached the tournament quarterfinal round in boys' doubles. Ayan Jayawickramarajah, Porter Noyes, and Liam Rhein were Regional Tournament participants. 13 of 16 Willow tennis team members qualified for the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Tennis Tournament, which takes place in Monroe, LA on April 28 and 29. The girls' team is vying for a 3rd straight State Championship. Congrats to the teams and to their coaches, Gian Balsamo and Heather Knight!
